Happy Monday! So, had the new usual on Thursday. Had Thanksgiving on Saturday and my uncle came over, which was nice – had no issues with the food, which was very nice. Rebel enjoyed meeting my uncle. On Sunday, my brother, my dad and I took Rebel to a dog park, which he enjoyed. Today we went to my oncologist in NYC and he very much likes my numbers – he wants to see me again in a month and if my numbers continue to look good, he wants to see me every 6-8 weeks. So, talk to you on Wednesday!
Hello everyone! Happy early Thanksgiving (for those in the US, for those in Canada, you had it when the US had Columbus Day, right?) and get some good deals on Black Friday! So, I hope tomorrow goes well, but I dunno. We’re delaying our Thanksgiving until Saturday, so hopefully I feel well enough to gorge on food by then. My uncle should be coming to our Thanksgiving – on Thanksgiving day, he’ll be going to the house of my other uncle. So, i’ll talk to all of you on Monday – hope you have a good weekend!
Happy Monday! I hope all of you are well. Thursday went… as expected – vomited three times, had a typical Friday, felt a bit more off than normal on Saturday, and felt more normal by yesterday (Sunday). Saturday, the dog trainer had to cancel her appointment and on Sunday, my dad and brother took Rebel to the local dog park, which according to what I heard, he loved. So, I hope all of you have a great week and I will talk to all of you on Wednesday!
Oops. Turns out I forgot to hit the Publish button until now. Silly me.
Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday! So, nothing too eventful the last few days. I went to the local oncologist today and my Hemoglobin is up to 9.8! Yay! Tomorrow I take the MTX. Hopefully it turns out well. That would be nice. So, dog trainer comes on Saturday – hopefully it won’t be a repeat of last week. Hope you have a good Wednesday too and i’ll see all of you on Monday!
Hello everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was… below average. Thursday I vomited twice – so that sucked. Saturday, we met the dog trainer at the local park and near the end of the session, I had a seizure. Yay. I was unconscious for a bit longer than normal – a bit over 30 seconds and I had some minor convulsions (head bobbing). Talked to the neurologist today and he is calling in a higher dose of one of my seizure meds to the pharmacy – I see my local oncologist on Wednesday and will discuss the seizure with him. So, hopefully nothing will happen Tuesday or Wednesday, so hopefully my update on Wednesday will be relatively uneventful.
Talk to you on Wednesday!
Hello everyone. I hope your Tuesday and Wednesday went well. I’ve been feeling a bit nervous about Thursday. I know the discomfort is short term with big benefits – it will knock the disease into remission (hopefully for a long time) eventually. But it is a bit hard psychologically to think “Oh, just feel bad for a few days a week and then you’ll feel better sometime in the future, but I don’t know when!”
So yeah. Hopefully tomorrow goes well. The dog trainer comes on Saturday, so that should be good. Rebel has been good recently. Yay. Talk to you on Monday.
Hello everyone, I hope your Monday is going well. My weekend was okay – vomited three times on Thursday, had a bit of trouble eating eggs for dinner on Sunday (so I ate bread instead), and I vomited this morning when getting up (then I realized I forgot to take my antacid that the NY oncologist prescribed for the last three or four days – yay). This morning it was pretty much entirely bile, so that is good (or bad, depending on your perspective). The dog trainer decided to delay her visit – as Rebel had his surgery on Tuesday, she didn’t want to cause him any complications, as he isn’t really supposed to do much physical activity until tomorrow – vet advised to keep the cone on for 10 days after the surgery since he keeps trying to lick the surgical site. Poor puppy.
Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great Wednesday. I went to the local oncologist today and he likes my numbers. Rebel got neutered yesterday and he has been walking around since very sad – he keeps whimpering and trying to lick the area where his stitches are. I hope tomorrow goes as well as last week did. Lets cross our fingers!
Hello everyone! Happy November! This weekend was Halloween – we had three trick-or-treaters come – more than the past few years, which was nice. Thursday went better than it has recently – no vomiting on Thursday or Friday. Was a bit tired this weekend, though. Seeing the local oncologist on Wednesday, so I should have a little bit of an update then, I hope. So, talk to all of you on Wednesday.
